Things to do in Bramshaw
Bramshaw Golf Club and Dunwood Golf Club are under the same ownership as the
Bell Inn. Golfing guests enjoy temporary membership of both clubs during
their stay.
Bramshaw WI is situated in the New Forest.
Nearby is The Rufus Stone, a monument erected in 1865, which stands on
the site of an old memorial to William II, known as Rufus, who was shot
while hunting in the New Forest in 1100. It is said that an arrow shot
at a stag by one Walter Tyrrell glanced off a tree and killed the King.
There is a Forestry Commission car park a short stroll from the monument.
